The SAMES training course enables the validation of 90 European Credits Transfer System (ECTS) credits, equivalent to the first year of a Masters degree. Entry requirements include a Bachelors degree in social sciences, or higher education of a level generally recognized as equivalent. Applications from candidates with qualifications in other fields of study will be examined by a pedagogical commission on the basis of their academic careers and their professional experience.
Candidates who do not hold a Bachelors in social sciences and wish to obtain the Masters degree must file a request for the recognition of their higher education qualifications, attaching a copy of the programme, the number of hours of teaching and their degree transcripts, or a request to be exempted from this requirement.

For participants from outside of the Gambia, UTG registration fees and pedagogical fees amount to: $5000 for the academic year. These expenses should be covered by donors or national governments.
In addition to these registration fees, the costs of attending three group classes in Banjul must be covered.
