Training in the management of education systems

One year Master’s degree in education and training
Specialised training in sectoral policies and management of education systems

Organised jointly by the Pôle de Dakar and the Faculty of Education and Training Science and Technology (FASTEF), training in sector policies and management of education systems (PSGSE) is offered to African managers. This is an option of the Master’s degree in Education and Training of FASTEF, Faculty of the Cheikh Anta Diop University of Dakar (UCAD). Its validation is associated with the granting of 60 ECTS credits, equivalent to one full year of the Master’s degree.

PSGSE training is aimed primarily at executives from the ministries in charge of education, finance and planning. Technical and financial partners or individual candidates may also be accepted if places are available.

The PSGSE programme is supported by numerous institutions such as the Agence universitaire de la francophonie, the CONFEMEN Programme for the Analysis of Education Systems and the International Institute for Educational Planning.

An objective of capacity building in education sector analysis

The aim of the PSGSE training course is to transmit the analytical methods developed by the Pôle de Dakar to the staff in charge of the management, financing and evaluation of education systems.

This professional training, which is very concrete and applied, enables the skills of African executives working in the specified fields to be strengthened.

Training alternating between distance learning and face-to-face group sessions

PSGSE training is aimed at staff working in the different countries and working on the management of the education system.

Spread over fourteen months, the training alternates between distance learning and face-to-face meetings. There are three such groupings and they are compulsory for all participants.

A diploma course

The PSGSE course is part of the LMD system and is open to the awarding of 60 credits, i.e. a full year of Master’s degree.
